Running with Burnie

Today, I went running with a new friend–Burnie.

Say hi to the people burnie:

Burnie

Burnie

Burnie is not much for words.

Before we went running, I wrapped Burnie in special padding–just for him.

But Burnie could not be contained.

At three quarters of a mile he shed his blanket, dancing against my shoe and sock.

A mile later I felt a rush of wind and flap of skin.

When I finished the run, I looked down and Burnie was gone.

Perhaps three miles was not enough for him.

Maybe he is dancing along the Rio or climbing the Sandia.

Run free, Burnie.
