I have never been fast or blessed with hand-eye coordination. I am not the smartest person in the room.  I don’t claim any special abilities. But I do have perseverance. I am stubborn enough to keep going when more sensible people would say enough and have ridden that to complete 100 races, including many marathons and ultra-marathons.
Perseverance has allowed me to explore the art of distance running and taken me to places I would have never experienced from the living room couch. I hope you enjoy this page as I share my experiences, reflections, music, photographs, and writings related to running. Running is a gift that spiritually grounds me, gives me the avenue to wash away the mud of life, and has introduced me to amazing people. I hope this blog returns some portion of the gifts of grace I have received with you.
